TC Next Bus Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 19, 2026

TC Next Bus ("the app") is published by Junebot, LLC. It shows nearby transit stops and real-time arrival predictions for the Twin Cities using data from Metro Transit. This policy describes what information the app handles.

Location

With your permission, the app uses your device's location to center the map and show stops near you. Your location is processed on your device. It is not stored by us, not linked to your identity, and not sold or shared with third parties by us.

Transit data requests

When you view arrival predictions, the app contacts the transit agency's public data services and requests predictions for the stop you selected. These requests include the stop identifier but no account or identity information. The agency's own privacy policy governs their handling of those requests.

Advertising

The app shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising identifier) and usage data to serve and measure ads, subject to your choice in the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt and your device's settings. See Google's privacy policy for details. You can reset or limit the advertising identifier in iOS Settings.

Favorites and settings

Stops you favorite and app settings are stored on your device (and synced to your paired Apple Watch, if you use one). They are not transmitted to us.

No accounts, no sale of data

The app has no user accounts, does not collect names, email addresses, or contact information, and we do not sell personal data.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from any user beyond what is described above.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address.
